2020 Webinar: Test Your Knowledge – COVID-19 and the Impact on Employee Leave

The ever-changing nature of COVID-19 has presented challenges that have been a shock to the functionality of the global workforce. Employers have been scrambling for weeks to understand how to run their businesses amid stay-at-home orders, conflicting information on what it means to be an ‘essential business,’ and new work dynamics. A recent DMEC survey indicates a 50% increase in remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the same survey shows some employers have been forced to make challenging workforce management decisions such as furloughing employees (31%), reducing pay (15%), and offering early retirement (almost 5%). What do all of these changes mean for the future of work? How does COVID-19 impact absence management program integration? What considerations do employers need to make as they start planning their organizations’ return-to-work efforts?

This webinar will present attendees with real-life scenarios. Each question will have multiple options to test attendee knowledge of compliance and best-practice procedures in a new era of pandemic absence management. Our panel will walk through each situation to explain the best answer, while providing insights and best practices to help your organization prepare for the next steps in your pandemic response efforts.
