2020 Webinar: Top 10 FMLA Challenges

While many employers have developed strong skills and experience navigating the administration of the Family Medical Leave Act, questions remain. All too often, these specific questions are left unanswered in regulations. Just how do you evaluate potential abuse? What does foreseeable really mean? How should an employer communicate ineligibility? What is the difference between the “Look Forward and Look Back Rules?” How do you handle a change in eligibility when an employee is on leave? What is the balance of keeping in touch with an employee on leave while respecting privacy?

In this webinar, presenters answered these questions, tackled the top 10 most common challenges, and provided best practice guidance around common areas of concern. In addition, attendees heard from a Department of Labor representative on FMLA updates, including potential changes to the FMLA forms.
