2023 DMEC Annual Conference: Supporting Workforce Mental Health & Well-being- It’s a Marathon, Not a Sprint

The recent confluence of events has made workforce mental health and well-being a critical priority for employers of all sizes and industries across the U.S. Many employers are looking for a quick fix or silver bullet, but employers that have been working on this for years know it’s a marathon, not a sprint. In this session, learn how a large East Coast healthcare system and a mid-sized, Pacific Northwest utility company have evolved their programs and realized a gradual growth of engagement, innovations sparked by the C-suite, and challenges along the way. We will also review the recently published framework from the U.S. Surgeon General as a tool for disability and absence professionals to connect their programs into their employer’s broader human resource strategy.
