Although the FMLA was signed into law over 25 years ago, understanding its requirements can be overwhelming. This presentation will walk you through FMLA basics, and provide practical best practices that you can use to effectively administer your FMLA program. Through real-life FMLA scenarios, this session will provide an in-depth overview of the FMLA, discussing employer and employee obligations, identify common misconceptions and implementation pitfalls when administering the FMLA, help you better understand and manage intermittent leaves, and provide tips on how to prevent employee abuse of FMLA leave.
