2023 Webinar: Tackling Your Next Level FMLA Challenges
A cornerstone of leave programs for nearly 30 years, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) offers critical coverage, but also presents a variety of administrative challenges. The June Tools & Tactics webinar, Tackling Your FMLA Challenges, explored a variety of FMLA issues including managing unscheduled intermittent leave, understanding retroactive designation, defining a family member, recertifying leaves, and employee and staff education.
In part two of the dive into the FMLA, we’ll explore new pain points and the opportunities to diagnose their challenges, explore their impacts, and discuss how to best manage them. We’ll investigate five next-level FMLA challenges you’re grappling with today: the intersection of the FMLA and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), understanding federal vs. state FMLA, compliance with employee notice responsibilities, mental health and the FMLA, and tracking and outsourcing leaves. For each of these challenges, we will provide a diagnosis and explore its impact.
